FeedingCities is about exploring the expected and unexpected synergies that exist in and around urban areas. It is about exploring the broadest range of challenges and possibilities in order to assess which tools and solutions are likely to provide the most appropriate and successful solutions. From strong analysis come inspiring possibilities and concepts that through discussion and interaction become strategies and designs for implementation.

FeedingCities is not about generating wallpaper images for instagram. It is about finding genuine solutions that are inspirational but also rational. Our cities have already consumed so much of the planets resources and some surveys suggest that 50% of the urban environment needed by 2050 is not yet built. So whatever we do we need to be clever and effective with what we already have, and resourceful and responsible with whatever new we create.
